Have you packed your travel insurance

Holiday's take many different forms and what people do while they're away also varies. Some enjoy kicking back on the beach and relaxing in the sun, while others like to try out new activities and take in the sites. And of course there are those that like to do everything while they're away.

While we don't like to think about the negatives, no holiday is ever risk free - whatever you like to do during your trip.

Look at the terrible accident that involved a British woman during a helicopter trip in New York this week. What should have been an enjoyable experience has seen her end up in a US hospital.

Perry Wilson, director of InsureandGo, says: This awful accident occurred in the US so her medical bills will easily run into tens of thousands of pounds. It's a perfect example to everyone why taking out travel insurance is as essential as taking your passport - wherever you are going in the world."

I see cases everyday where people without our insurance would have had to have paid huge bills after an accident or incident has occurred. It is easy then to see the benefit of spending a few pounds to cover you for the unexpected.
