Annual or single - think before you buy travel insurance
As cooler weather starts to arrive thoughts will instinctively be turning to the winter months ahead and for many this means thinking about where to get onto the piste.
However, travel insurance provider InsureandGo urges people to also consider their holiday plans for the rest of the year, to ensure they get the very best deal on their travel insurance. Perry Wilson, at InsureandGo, said: ?It really makes sense for people to think about what cover they will need over the year. If they are off on holiday more than once people can save a lot of money if they buy an annual policy rather than several single trip policies, especially when cover for a ski or snowboarding trip is required. ?An annual policy also allows you to be spontaneous as you don't have to arrange cover for every trip, whether it's a short break to a Christmas market, two weeks soaking up the winter sun or a week on the slopes.? InsureandGo has launched a new addition to its range of policies in response to changing needs. In addition to its Bronze and Silver policies, a new Gold package offers higher levels of cover. The Gold annual policy also offers increased trip duration limits of up to 90 days and includes up to 24 days winter sports cover automatically. On top of this, every InsureandGo policyholder receives a policy card, which is credit card shaped so it can be placed in a wallet and easily taken away on every trip. The card contains important policy details such as emergency assistance and claims numbers. Perry comments: ?Carrying our card means that say you are injured on the slope and are taken to the hospital - you can immediately give your insurance details to the medical staff who can then provide the necessary medical treatment in discussion with our assistance centre so you don't have to worry about a thing.?
