Accident in August 2007 was easy and quick to submit a claim. Car collected quickly and repaired to good standard. Hire car readily available. BUT Direct Line paid 3rd party's repairs despite independent witness and policeman confirming within 24 hrs of accident that 3rd party was 100% at fault! Took 2 years of constant phone calls to finally recover my excess and no claims bonus (in Sep 2009). Comment by Clare S
