I claimed for a chip on the window that autoglass came and fixed and later on i got a crack so had to get a new window. They then reduced my NCB to 2 years from what should have been 4. No other insurer that i know of would take your NCB down for this. Cheap because it is only half a policy compared to others

Like all insurers they wont cover you if you have criminal convictions - read the small print! Where do you get house, car or business cover if you are in the 20% of the population with a conviction?

Swiftcover by name, certainly not by nature. My car damaged mid December 2008, still in the same condition mid January 2009. Beginning to wonder if it'll ever be repaired. Opted for a £250 voluntary excess only to discover when I claimed that Swiftcover had also added an extra £250 compulsory excess on top! Use Swiftcover as an insurer at your own peril.

Read the small print. I have had to pay a full year’s premium for a vehicle that I no longer have. Early in September someone vandalised my car by setting fire to it, writing it off, three weeks after getting it MOT'd. They gave me a courtesy car for only two weeks, then left me on foot. They are going to deduct the rest of my year’s premiums from my settlement figure, as well as the £100.00 excess.

My involvement is as a third party in crash caused by someone whose policy was through swiftcover. Not happy with non-communication from swiftcover following my car being taken away by them on 7/8/2007. I am still in dark as to what is happening now 10/9/2007 despite 2 phone calls and 3 emails later!!!!
