I ended up paying £150 all in one go on 03/12/2008 then after I called the company to see if they could change to monthly base and refund me the rest, they said no. Around May I tried to contact them in order to repair my heating but there is no answer at all. Something what bothers me is where is our rights and protection, is there any governing body to help us.

Coverheat have scarpered and have gone out of business. Beware of the website which is still up and running and capable of taking your hard earned cash apparently. Scant consolation for those of us who suffered at the hands of these people but good to know they won't be tormenting anyone else.

I wonder whether Coverheat have gone bust? My recorded delivery letters informing them that I am instigating legal proceedings to recover my premium are now being returned as 'addressee has gone away'! It goes without saying that they have not honoured any of their service commitments and are completely uncontactable. Trading Standards seem to know them quite well!

They never ever return calls!!!! We call them twice a day & only ever get the call centre who send emails although they don't actually send them it is all made up. Having no hot water for over 7 days is not an emergency as quoted by a member of staff as you can boil a kettle to wash!!! We have had no hot water for 16 days. We have also reported them to watch dog & trading standards!!!

I too have been duped by this company. First "inclusive" boiler service was moved by agreement then no engineer turned up. Calls fobbed off by "we'll email scheduling department". Lost income waiting - have invoiced them for loss of earnings. Reported to Consumer Direct and also to West Sussex Trading Standards.
Suggest eveyone else who has suffered from them does the same.
Next stop BBC Watchdog I hope!

Steer Clear of CoverHeat and don't even think of having a contract with them for central heating protection.
I have now been waiting for just over a week for an engineer to come and fix my boiler, to date no engineer, no call back and now they don't have a telephone line its completely dead.

This company are RUBBISH! They don't answer the phones, in fact the list of DON'Ts is so long I'm not going to bother. My boiler still isn't working after 3 months of phone calls.......

They lure you to take the plan, but won't provide any services.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They took our money & failed to send an engineer out for a five minute job using a £10 part. They don't care if you have no hot water to bath your young children. We gave up after 5 weeks of arguments over the phone. Absolutely disgraceful service. Expect to see this company on BBC Watchdog soon. Living proof that the cheapest is rarely the best.

This is a company to avoid. When I made a claim it took them over a week of constant chasing to say that my cover was invalid because of an issue they spotted at inspection. I had not been informed previously of any such issue or any effect on my cover. The written complaint was submitted 6 weeks ago and I still have not received a response.

Type coverheat into google and you will discover just why this company should never be in business. The threads listing angry customers are the best deterrent possible against using this parasitic type of company.

The service and customer care is non existent. They take your money and do not have any intention of sending an engineer. Its run from a private house and they claim to have hundreds of independent plumbers on their books, they lie!!
