I purchased an excess policy via moneysupermarket at £30 where I need to pay a £40 excess for any breakdown call outs.
For me this is a much better solution than paying £120 with the AA etc as my car is only 2 years old and so unlikely to break down. I just want the security/peace of mind in case it does breakdown.
Also - they do the same policy without the excess for £42.00.
I don't really agree with 'D' comments as the £40 excess was clear before I bought.
Would reccommend. Particularly for newer cars.
