T-mobile advised me to buy Fonesafe's insurance policy for my 14 year old son's upgraded handset, which I did. A few months later, he was attacked and robbed of the phone in the street. When I tried to claim, they refused, saying that the policy was in my name and therefore did not cover use by my son. I had taken out the policy specifically for my son in a T-Mobile retail store, who had made the arrangement with Fonesafe by telephone. I had very bad experiences with Customer Service people at both T-Mobile and Fonesafe. I made a formal appeal and the claim was eventually accepted, but it was very hard work and I suspect that someone less persistent and less aware of their rights would have given up. I just got the replacement phone yesterday, T-Mobile having been out of stock of the particular model for over a month. I am now going to explore other insurers as I have found Fonesafe to be expensive and unhelpful.

I agree totally, I have just had a very bad experience with Fonesafe and wouldn't touch them with a bargepole. Will be seeking alternative insurance. Their customer service is downright rude and they don't want to pay out.
