I have had Home Care heating and appliance insurance from British Gas for 4 years now and their service has evolved from bad to dreadful. They are due to inspect the boiler each year as part of the service. They always wait for you to arrange it rather than proactively making an appointment for their engineers.
Even worse, this year they cancelled a previously confirmed appointment three times. When the engineer came on the fourth appointment, he was 3 hours late and claimed he'd only just been given the job. A complaint to their customer service department was merely shrugged off. This is a company in the dark ages where no one cares about the customer. There is only one way to vote - with our feet!
