Having received gadget insurance through Clydesdale Bank, I recently had to make a claim regarding a lost mobile phone. I followed the required criteria for reporting and barring the phone in time so that I stayed in line with the policy, I also submitted the specific documentation required to allow the company to process the claim as quickly as possible.
I was met with incompetence from a number of the staff, firstly the phone was reported on the 8th of this month and it still has not been completed to date (26/01/12).
Secondly after numerous attempts to contact the individuals responsable for handling my claim I was continually told to wait and expect a call when they became available, this lasted for 2 weeks.
Thirdly a problem arose in the model of my mobile which became discontinued. I was offered a option to pay for an upgrade to a similair model or accept a different variation of the model I previously owned. Furthermore after appealing to the company in light of the circumstances I was met with a stone exterior and a take it or leave it attitude.
I would not recommend this company to anyone looking to insure any personal or professional belonging.
