After having an accident in may 2008 I paid my £100 excess that my policy stated towards my vehicle repairs. I was then informed that the excess should have been £300. After explaining that the policy stated only £100 A-plan sent me a cheque for £200 to make up the difference and the matter, as far as I was concerned, was finished with.
I was later informed that the accident was not worth pursueing and that I was to blame and the matter closed. In March 2010 A-plan, without my knowledge, took £200 from my credit card as they still held the details from renewing my policy in September 2009. Having since contacted them and being reassured that the matter would be delt with swiftly and that someone would call me back, I am still waiting for this to happen and I am in no doubt that it will be me contacting them again.
