Having bought cover for a 4 day UK break, my car broke down on the April bank holiday weekend forcing a return home as no garages were open with the double bank holiday to effect repairs.
Columbus are not giving me anything as in the small print it says cover for curtailment, abandonment etc does not apply for UK trips. SO WHY SELL ME A POLICY UNFIT FOR PURPOSE knowing it was an UK TRIP?
I am approaching the Ombudsman for misselling on part of Columbus and advise others to do the same. The summary should give the exclusions and limits when they are so totally unfair and unreasonable. If you can get cover for breakdown on your way to an airport, why not on your way to a UK DESTINATION?
