Customer Review Comments:
Had cover for several years on a Candy cooker. The cooker was part of an appliance bundle provided with the house. Oven would not heat up. When contacted insurers, operator insisted on the serial no. of appliance. Was told that the serial no. was on a sticky paper label which had come off first time the oven was cleaned.
Was told they could not repair the machine without the serial number to know which part to order. Refused to come out without serial no. when pointed out that there was a need to come out to see which part was faulty, refused and said it was their Policy that they must have the serial no.
If you insure anything with this company and don't have a record of the serial number they will refuse to attend.
When I complained to their customer relations I was then told that they would accept the model no. but by that time I had replaced the oven and repaired it at a cost of £4.70 for a new element off internet.
No mention when you insure the items that a serial no. model no. is required, be warned.
