Customer Review Comments:
After paying insurance for ten years on my Dyson vacuum it finally gave up.
I called Domestic & General who sent two Dyson engineers around to asses the damage, this was one unpaid day off for me. Then they wanted to send them again to carry out the repairs, I accepted that the first day off was "consequential loss" but a second day was not. I made a complaint and guess what, the complaints dept is in the same building so all I got was an answer quoting "consequential loss".
They were abrupt on the phone and didn't return my calls. I looked on ebay for a second hand machine, the same DC05, and could get one for £15 working. They wanted me to lose two days pay approx £600 so I said give me the cost of the repairs and the engineers and I will put it towards a new vacuum. The answer agin was no, so the machine originally cost £200 plus two days unpaid £600 plus 10 years at £80 per year insurance total £1600 and still I have to buy a new vacuum at around £250.
