We took out this cover in February, and as required, had an engineer visit to perform an initial basic inspection (fair enough, they want to be sure they're not covering known issues).
Two weeks later we saw a damp patch in our lounge ceiling. An engineer came, looked at the boiler, couldn't see anything, and advised to do nothing, and see if it got worse. It did.
A second engineer came, didnt bother looking at the boiler, but again (surprise surprise) advised to do nothing, and see if it got worse. It did. The ceiling collapsed.
A third engineer came, looked at the boiler and immediately spotted a disconnected pipe.
Now, I am NOT making accusations here, but after 5.5 years of no problems, to have problems appear days after the initial engineer "inspected" our boiler seems a bit of a coincidence. Then 2 further "qualified" engineers couldn't spot a disconnected pipe right in front of them. More than a month later, we are still waiting to speak to someone to discuss our complaints.
Good Points: One call handler, Rachel, HAS been quite helpful.
Bad Points: Incompetence of an all new level....
