Customer Review Comments:
Following the floods in 2007, in 2008 we had problems with secondary flooding.
We live in a terraced block of 10 houses, all 10 houses in the block were affected which resulted in all the families in the houses having to be rehoused for between 6 - 9 months whilst the repairs where done to the house.
Considering all houses affected suffered the same amount of damage, all houses were dealt with differently with costs incurred by the insurance companies ranging from as little at £19k to £85k. How can this be, when houses joined together when 1 house gets a garage dismantled and replaced by the floods and the garage stood next door is just power cleaned. It just doesn't seem fair, plus some people had new kitchens, but because our kitchen was a bespoke one it was removed and reinstalled.
So much for insurance companies, they are the biggest con on this earth and they seem reluctant to pay out for damage they always seem to find a loop hole. |
