Review of Friends Provident Life Insurance

This company's behaviour in respect of a policy I did not want is both unprofessional and unwarranted.

I was asked if I wanted a policy and I declined. However, my wife was contacted and asked for bank details by an insurance representative and thinking that I had agreed gave out our bank details.

1. I had not signed anything stating that I wanted the policy.
2. Within days fifty pounds fourten pence came out of our account.
3. My wife had actually contacted Friend's Provident by letter stating that she did not want the policy.

I now have to stop the direct debit which I did not set up and will contact the bank tomorrow (Monday) to find out why it came out in the first place.
