Customer Review Comments:

I purchased a cheap Citroen Saxo to lessen the expense of driving my Subaru Impreza WRX. I used an internet search engine to find the cheapest insurance quotations. Ibuyeco came up with the cheapest quote. Turned out to be most expensive when told the "no claims discount" could not be applied as it was applied to my other car already (I disclosed the second car in my information given to them and disclosed I'd be using only 4000 miles per year on the Saxo, because of the second car, before receiving their quote).

They used Axa insurance company, yet I got the car insured through another broker using Axa Insurance company and applied the no claims discount to both my policies).  Ibuyeco took my bank details, sent me a certificate of insurance, then declared they were changing their original quote of £211 to £798 (!!) as the no claims discount wasn't to be applied. I was told this was explained in their small print but its so small that I still haven't found it.

Hefty charges of £38.00 PLUS 40% of the premium PLUS £15 for not signing and returning the credit agreement form, were applied when cancelling, despite cancellation being within 30 days (cooling off period when deal is not conducted in person?).

Customer service was poor and telephone operators cheeky. I feel completely ripped off. Was offered a waiver of £38 of the fee (said it was goodwill???) IF I agreed not to lodge a complaint against the company.

I definitely would NOT recommend ibuyeco. Their motto is "Insurance that saves more than just money". I'm not sure what they mean by that.

Good Points: None
Bad Points: Misleading information, poor service.
