Mobile Phone Insurance

I got this insurance through my bank Barclays. I pay £5 a month for it anyway and it was free, so thought it was a bargin.
My mobile phone broke in the 2nd week of September, an accident on the bus. Within 10 minutes I logged the claim with them. 2 days later I recieved the letter and sent it back straight away with the details of the accident and damage.
A few days later I had a phone call to say they had accepted my claim & I paid the excess amount of £25. Over the phone they told me that they will be sending me the info on how to send the phone to them. They told me it would go in the next post and I would recieve it within 3 days.
I waited for 7 days and still nothing.
I rang them and they informed me that it had not been sent the week before like it should have. Another one will be sent.
I recieved this 2 days later. If they had sent it when they were oringinally meant to I could have sent my phone off a week earlier.
So I sent my phone off to them.
7 working days later I recieved it back again. I thought this was pretty good as they said it could take up to 12 working days.
But they forgot to enclose my phone battery! This made me very angry. I rang them straight away and they said a replacement battery will be with me within 1-3 days. Great! I had my phone repaired but I couldnt use it!
3 days later, I had not yet recieved my battery, so I rang them again. They then informed me it was 3-5 working days, and not 1-3 as the previous person told me. Ok, so I waited.
2 days later. Still no battery. So I rang again.This time very upset, and very angry. The man I spoke to said the reason why I hadn't recieved the battery yet is because they never sent it! I was fuming! He said they can send it out to me whch would be another 3-5 working days or a partial refund so I can buy myself a new battery.
I accepted the partial refund as I was really angry and fed up with them by this point! They can't seem to get anything right!
So I ordered myself a new battery of the internet. It only took 1 day to deliver to me!
Then more bad news. The battery worked but when I turned my phone on I found that my phone hadnt been fixed! I couldn't use the touch function on the screen! Although they had fixed it so I could see the screen I couldn't actually use my phone! So after 4 weeks of having no phone, I still couldnt use it. I was livid.
So I rang them yet again and explained. I have to now send it back to them to be repaired yet again! The only good thing was that they are going to send me a pre paid envelope to send it off in and it should be back within 5 working days. I just hope they actually send the envelope unlike the first time round.
In conclusion, I will not be using these people again. A friend of mine broke her phone after me and had hers, sent, repaired & returned within 2 weeks, while mine is still being sorted.
This is the worst company ive ever had to deal with. Never had so much go wrong. How they still manage to run is beyond me.

Had similar issues with Lifestyle Group. Took one week to accept my initial postal claim. They sent an email saying phone had been received on May 29th and that repair would be done within 5 working days. I rang on the 6th day to ask about progress to find that it had not been repaired and that it could take a further 8 working days. After 40 minutes on the phone they eventually relented and moved the repair forward to try to honour the time period sent in the email but this was only down to sheer persistance and demanding to speak to the manager.
Very poor for £7 a month and £75 excess
