Customer Review Comments:

I automatically booked the top range of Breakdown Cover when I took out my car insurance with One Call.

Yesterday afternoon I was on my way out when my car wouldn't start. (All I needed was a jump start to get me going so I could get a new battery - something that happens to many of us). I immediately telephoned One Call and was told that I had to first pay the excess of £50. This was the first time I was told that there was an excess.

I checked through all the paperwork and no mention at all was made of how much the Breakdown Cover cost me, especially that there was an excess on it. I could have been ant where, ie a motorway, on my own and there I was being forced into paying the £50.

I have now cancelled the Breakdown Cover and seriously thinking of not renewing my insurance with them when the time comes.

One Call have cancelled my insurance without any prior warning apart from one phone call telling me if I did not call back that day my insurance would be cancelled. I was on holiday and got the message on my return, they had my mobile and email yet did not try them. I now have had to get new insurance to get to a hospital appointment for tomorrow morning. They have said they haven't received documents when they were sent over a month ago. Until today I had no knowledge they had a problem with my policy. I am furious.
