I've never felt compelled to write a review for anything, but on this occasion I feel it's important for fellow motorcyclists to stay well clear.
I'll list a few of my gripes for ease of comprehension:
- Customer service: Woeful. Having spoken to many of their representatives, I've had to conclude that they are without doubt the rudest, most unhelpful "Customer Service" specialists I have ever had the displeasure of communicating with. Blunt, unapologetic for their various cock-ups and unfriendly. Most of calls were never logged, which meant no records of previous requests.
- Administration: Inept. I received 3 copies of my policy (on 2 different occasions). Other important letters never arrived and I had to call repeatedly to understand what was going on. As most of my calls haven't been logged, it meant re-inventing the wheel every time.
- If you pay by direct debit (which I suppose applies to 90% of people), expect to be charged a pretty hefty premium. As they use a separate credit agency for such transactions, you will be sent various letters etc... rather than a consolidated policy/payment.
- The coup de grace: Having closed my policy early, I received a letter from a debt collection agency 4 months later, stipulating that the heavies will be round if I down pay a certain amount. This was the first I heard of the debt and no previous letters had arrived explaining a balance (to the credit company) was outstanding.
