I had my daughters pony insured with E&L and I noticed the pony wasn't her usual self and had ran into a closed gate as if it wasn't there twice. i immediatly got the vet and after tests came back liver damage was picked up on the blood test, my vet said a referral would be needed to do a biopsy of the liver and a possible brain scan to see if anything showed up there.
I contacted E&L on the day of the vet coming out and asked for claims forms. Nothing ever came so I had to download them. After 5 weeks I've been told that I will have to pay for a referral myself at a cost of thousands and at a high risk to the pony. They will not except liability till tests are carried out and I am not in a position to afford to pay, and if my pony dies I would also have to pay for an autopsy to see cause and still they might not pay out as I'd havd to prove they were liable.
I have no choice but to consider putting my 5yr old daughters pony to sleep or retiring her . BE AWARE THAT E&L WILL DO ANYTHING NOT TO PAY AND I'VE GONE THROUGH HELL TRYING TO GET THEM TO HELP WITH OUR PONY.
