Review of Domestic and General Over Cover

I've had my oven insured with Domestic and General for 3/4 years at a cost of £68.88 per year.

Last week my oven broke down and I had to get it mended. The engineer came and it needed a new circuit board costing £250.00 and this is the FIRST time it has needed a repair.

Domestic & General decided to write off my oven, then they decided which oven I could have at a cost to me of £214.00. So after 6 hours on the telephone they agreed to send me the cash for my oven a GRAND TOTAL OF £70. Wow I've been paying £68 every year to insure the oven.

SO EVERYONE BE WARNED PLEASE READ THE SMALL PRINT BECAUSE WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS CLASSED AS LEGAL. I will never insure any appliance with them ever again.
