Three weeks ago I took out a policy after a conversation when I advised them that the brook near my house which is in excess of a 70ft drop from the house would never (maybe in a million years) flood. It is physically impossible.
Six weeks later they are saying they are not happy that this brook is not more than 250m away so cannot insure me and have now cancelled the policy. These companies now will not refund my deposit and have the audacity of charging me £20 for the privelidge of them cancelling the policy.
