Bennetts would not transfer cover to my new bike (same value, smaller cc and same personal details) so I had no choice but to cancel. I tried a comparison website where Bennetts not only quoted but were very competitive. I did not renew with them and found an alternative provider.
I recieved a demand for £67.66 cancellation fee & charges. This was followed by a threatening "debt recovery" letter only 3 days later. When I complained regarding their refusal to quote for the replacement bike, yet were able to quote for the new business, they didn't want to know.
Due to this company's sharp practices, their inability to answer my questions and their method of harassment for payment, I have referred the matter to the Insurance Ombudsman for their guidence and advice.
I will never be tempted to use this company again and cannot recommend them to any prospective customer.
Read the small print & don't be seduced by the low initial premiums, there is almost always a price to pay. I would recommend you also read other reviews about this company on other sites, their sharp practices are not just limited to cancellation fees.
