Customer Review Comments:
Took my new puppy to the vets for his first ever booster and checkup. We were told he had a mild heart murmer and more than likely would grow out of it. We were then provided with 28 days free cover from the vets for Pet Plan insurance which they recommended. We took out a full policy at the end of this period and now 6 months later our dog has been diagnosed with a terminal heart condition which the vets said would be covered under this insurance and so we paid the policy excess of £75 and continued with his treatment for the next 2 months.
Just received a letter from Pet Plan stating they will not pay out a penny as they class this as an exitsting condition and now the vets have just given me a bill for £1400 for treatment so far, (they recommended and requested tests etc and meds). They then have the cheek to tell me of course Pet Plan won't pay out for a proior condition.
Neither party explained this 6 months ago or we would not have bothered insuring him and certainly would have re-thought about his courses of treatment etc. Watch out your pet doesn't fart on their first check up or it may be an excuse not to pay if it ever develops bowel problems / stomach problems ETC !!!!
