Opened a motor trade policy with DNA INSURANCE and when I received policy documents they listed numerous exclusions.
- no cover for vehicles over 25 years old
- no ford cosworths
- no supercharged vehicles
- any insured vehicle not covered if within 400 meters of a motor trade premises not owned by the insured
- q plate vehicles
As I run a busy garage and specifically asked for sports and high performance these exclusions mean approx 20% of my annual customers cars are not covered, whether its a supercharged mazda, merc or old beetle/campervan.
I cancelled the policy and returned documents by recorded delivery within 14 day cooling off period and waited 8 weeks for refund. Now forced to open court case to pursue.
I have phoned about 30 times and only got cheeky comments and they we will call you back line. Spent many hours being bounced around departments and eventually hung up on.
Will never use again and have reported to trading standards and financial ombudsmen.
Got proper cover from another company for 200 pounds less.
