Having been members of the BHSF health plan with reasonable satisfaction, I decided to upgrade my husband's and my contributions.
I pay for both memberships through my payroll. When I increased my subscriptions, the BHSF combined our two memberships into a family one. We had paid into the scheme for in excess of 15 yrs and continued to pay in at the higher rate. Now, the BHSF refuses to pay out at all for my husband, although there has been no break in his payments because they say that he has just been added onto my membership.
Despite letters and phonecalls giving dates, details and spelling everything out in minute detail, I have had to submit the claim three times.
A senior claims assistant seems totally incapable of understanding such a basic situation, and has caused no end of distress by the incompetence shown in our case.
