I had damp walls caused by a neighbours broken drain. Barclays appointed Improveline/Homeserve to carry out the work on their behalf. My neighbour already had an independant report done to outline the cause of the problem, neither Homeserve or Barclays took a look or were interested in the report even though I repeatedly asked them to.
Homeserve were difficult to get hold of and after 4 months without a living room I am still waiting for the work to be completed. Barclays could not or would not appoint another contractor to finish the work but sudgested I find my own.
