I was an NIG customer for two years and this company treated me appaulingly. I was involved in a car accident which was not my fault and I had to put a claim in for damage to my vehicle.
NIG failed to obtain an admission of liability for me despite the other driver running into my vehicle from behind when I was stationery. I had to rely on my own solicitor which I privately instructed and who was able to quickly obtain an admission of liability for me. NIG also failed to reply to my letters and failed completely to keep me informed throughout my claim or to make any efforts on my behalf.
Worse still following my complaints they then decided to try to avoid any potential liability by declaring my policy void at inception as the vehicle log book was not registered in my name. They had processed an accident a year before with the same log book details.
They were low cost but I received appauling service, rude correspondence and the only effort that they made was to try to welch out of any liability or responsibility.I would not reccomend this insurer to my worst enemy.
