I took out Pet Plan pet insurance for my cat and paid premiums for about a year. The premiums were low but when I came to claim on the policy for dental work, the policy excesses were unrealistic. This meant I had to pay the full cost of the treatment so the insurance was useless to me and a waste of money.


Good Points: Low premiums, accessible.
Bad Points: High policy excess, unrealistic claim levels, unhelpful customer service.
