I recently moved house and notified Bennetts of my new address. I got a letter saying I now owed them £25 'administration fee' as 'certain policy amendments are subject to a maximum £25 fee'. Apparently this includes letting them know you've moved!! What other company does that?? When I said I'd just cancel the policy then, they said 'That will cost you an extra £30'!

Date: 18/12/2009 Just to add my experience: Bennetts renewed my policy without asking and they 'fined' me £20 for canceling. Then they returned the money they'd taken minus another £30. They couldn't explain why and promised to repay it. A week later - no sign of it, seems I need to make another call to their expensive call centre. Do you imagine they'd pay up if you needed them?

Date: 10/7/2009 Bennetts doubled my premium on the 2nd year and took the money witout my consent from an existing card! After 44 years of no claims biking I suppose I am lucky not to have come across such poor practice before! They could not care less. BEWARE!!

Date: 31/3/2009 I totally agree with you - the same happened to me - I wouldn't take out another insurance policy with Bennetts if you paid me, they are a total rip off. I was threatened with debt collection agency two days after cancelling.
