Review of Homeserve Insurance

Customer Review Comments:

I had a toilet that would not flush. A plumber came out to fix it. Few days later it leaked on my hall ceiling. Another plumber came out he thought he fixed it but alas the toilet still leaked. Finally the last plumber sent by the Academy of Plumbing via Homeserve fixed the leak and said that the other two plumbers did an appalling job.

I am in the process of trying to have my ceiling repaired but Homeserve are not having any of it they say their plumbers do not admit responsibility and they are asking me for proof that this happened.  Apparently, the first two plumbers have either lied or homeserve just do not want to admit that this was thier fault.

I dealt with an incredibly unhelpful person called Nicola in Customer Complaints. The matter will probably go to court but it is just unbelievable.

I cancelled my home serve cover when after three days of trying to find a low water flow problem to my house, which they failed to repair, they contacted me stating I was not covered for any more work. Leaving my fitted kitchen in bits. Five days later they rang me for a customer satisfaction survey......Oh how we laughed.

I currently own a plumbing and heating company that carries out work for Homeserve. What they fail to tell the customers is that whatever the job they only pay their plumbers £40.00 a job. When the plumber turns up he or she needs to fix the leak as quick as possible to make any money, particularly, if you have a leak under a concrete floor or behind a kitchen unit.

They have caused such a mess in our home. Almost for everything they came to sort more problems arose. We have had non stop hassle for almost a year and have not moved on with the original work much. As for the Customer Service, that simply does not exsist. Courts also on the horizon for us too.

I took out insurance with Homeserve on a 3 piece suite with Land of Leather. Both companies have decieved me over the quality of the goods & service. My suite hasnt even lasted a year & the surveyor Homeserve sent out assured me that they would fix it but this has not been the case. I am disgusted after paying £350 for thier 'premium' insurance.
