My bag was stolen along with cheque book and cards a few months ago. I immediately called CardGuard (owned by CPP) who said they would take care of it.
An hour or so later I phoned my bank to ask about cheques, only to find that CardGuard had not informed them, nor had they informed the other card issuers. A few days later I received a letter from CardGuard stating that I had informed them of the loss the day after I had actualy done so. This is outright lying and simply in order to cover them in case of loss on my cards. Luckily the cards were not used, but they could have been. I wrote to CardGuard but never had even the courtesy of a reply.
