When called upon after having my phone stolen I found that CPP phonesafe was difficult to get hold of.
Being a lorry driver, means that I am always on the road. My phone was stolen around 6:30 pm and as Cpp is only open between 9:00 am - 5:00 pm monday to saturday, it was impossible for me to call on that day but I called my network operaters to report the theft (as well as the police). As this was with 3network, they tried to put you in touch with the insurance company. As they were closed, I was told to call back the following day, which I did. Yet again they were closed so I tried again the next day, which was a saturday to be told by the insurance company that they have to wait for confirmation that the phone has been blocked by 3network.
I was told to ring back on monday. I then spent a week phoning them after work to be told that they are still waiting for confirmation. They then said the wrong IME number had been blocked and I need to sort that out first. When I eventually got that sorted (nearly two weeks after theft) they then told me they are declining it as I did not report it to them in time.
The last person I spoke to made me think I had stolen the phone myself! After spending hours on the phone to them, which is not cheap to be told it has been declined on a technicality. It is a big shame for such a big company.
