I bought a beko washing machine fronm comet 17 months ago, in all I have had 3 repairs on it before the manufacturers warranty ran out. So I took out a yearly extended warranty with Domestic and General.
Five months down the line it has broken down yet again, only for me to be told it was too expensive for them to repair it (even though its only 17 months old). I thought that they would replace it for free as it was their decision not to repair it, but oh no!! I had to pay the rest of my extended warranty, and also they have charged me £22.00 for delivery, even though comet deliver for free. Plus £7.50 to take away my old one, which again comet do for free, so in total it has cost me a extra £49.75. When I challenged them about the charges they kept saying that comet make them pay a delivery charge
but not to the general public. What a load of rubbish!! I phoned comet, who told me that they do not charge a delivery fee at all to Domestic and General, and that all old appliances should be taken away for free too.
So I am not at all happy with Domestic and General for making me pay £49.75 for a new appliance which is only £4.37 more that the one I bought last year, this is so unfair and I am really angry!
