Very high premiums and seem to only allow monthly payments for which an "admin fee" (commonly known as interest) of £1.50 is added each month.
Had to make claim for a damaged carpet, and they sounded uninterested. Passed onto some outfit called "Cavalier Services" - they were quite good and rang back as promised when discussion revealed that Payment Shield had given them right name but totally wrong address! Not only that, but also were told that carpet was in hall, when it was actually in the lounge! A bored Payment Shield person phoned up re-correcting the address but the carpet company sent out to estimate still had part of the address wrong!
I cannot believe their total lack of customer service and general ineptitude - luckily cover runs out at end of the month, so I will change companies - only took it out in a rush last year when I moved house. They apparently have a 4 star rating - heaven knows how!
