Customer Review Comments:
Having bought a NEW motorcycle which I had for a year with no problems insured through Suzuki, I then made the mistake of insuring through NIG.
The bike was stolen but someone saw it and I managed to get it back to the house. The police took it for fingerprinting and it had a little damage then the police recovery did a bit more damage and bent the handlebars.
So I informed NIG and asked for a SUZUKI Dealer to repair it due to the warranty.
No such luck - the bike was taken to their own repairers and instead of a bill of about £500 they charged £1800 and listed parts that were not damaged when I had seen the bike with the police. Worse still, they didn't even repair all the damage caused in the theft and had the bike six weeks to not repair it. They also took the Suzuki topbox and put on a cheap smaller replacement.
After six months of arguing they finally agreed to carry out the repairs, another three weeks without a bike and all with no compensation.
