Review of Car Care Plan Car Warranty

I bought a two year vehicle warranty through Blackhorse Car Sales. The provider of the warranty was Car Care Plan.

After a few weeks the car developed a fault which on investigation was due to an electical control box in the engine bay. The fault was said by the main dealer service centre to be caused by a faulty seal which was known to be a manufacturing error which had since been designed out. The seal allowed water and condensation to enter the control box and that's what made it malfunction.

Car Care Plan have refused to cover the repair cost because they say that water ingress is not covered. I argued that the water ingress was caused by a fault of the car (as opposed to flooding etc), but they have refused to cover the cost. That is my experience of the Car Care Plan warranty which I feel other potential customers should be made aware of.
