I have had Pet Plan for many years for my 2 dogs. I was quite happy until they got elderly and then the trouble started. Their annual fee shot up to a huge amount of over £420 each plus raising the excess etc and they quibbled over our claims causing us a lot of distress. I have a new pup now and am searching for a new pet insurer and it won't be Pet Plan.

Date: 21/6/2010 I would not recommend pet plan for horses. They are very slow, my vet is chasing me for money, even though I had the op cleared in advance. They are really bad at exclusions, and not straight forward, they wont pay half nursing fees or half livery fees while in hospital, I dont know if they expect you to bring the horse round and take it straight home but I thought this was a vital part of operation!
