I also had my claim for a stolen iphone denied by Lifestyle Services Group. I have a policy with them through my Barclays bank account. Their reason? I did not report it to them within 48 hours of it being lost/stolen. I did report it to my network provider and the police within 24 hrs, but wasn't aware of this hidden clause in their contract.
I have cancelled my insurance and closed my Barclays account, leaving them with an overdraft of £300 which I refuse to pay, as this will cover the cost of a new iphone. Only fair I reckon!
