Customer Review Comments:
Everything has been pretty standard until I had an incident 2 months ago.
I know everybody probably says this, but it definitely was not my fault and was pretty obvious! Even though I have sent them vast amounts of information regarding the incident (which I know the other party could not provide due to their claim), Admiral cannot seem to be bothered negotiating with the other party and want me to accept fault on a 50/50 basis!
My car ended up with a popped indicator lens, scratched bumper, dented OS front wing and very slightly dented bonnet. Pretty cheap and easy stuff to fix, I could have got my 10 year old brother and his mate to replace those parts.
They decided to write my car off as economically not viable, stupid thing is the car is a BMW e46 coupe which was in fine mechanical condition, with a market value of around £4,500.
While the car was at a garage of my choice waiting to be repaired, the insurers engineer viewed the car and promptly took it away. I was not informed of this by anyone and only found out when calling my garage 2 weeks later asking if my car was ready yet. They were very surprised my insurer had not told me they had taken it away.
They have obviously written it off as they know how to claw back as much as possible by selling it as cat C scrap at auction! Definitely not in my best interest! My pride and joy is now mere bad decisions and logistics in a computer!
Now to top it off they have made me a very low settlement offer which I cannot accept and declined. They are quite aggressively not willing to raise their offer and I fear this will now end up in the courts over a few hundred quid! I am not going to give in and let them literally knock me. All I want is my car back!!!
