Review of Ibuyeco Car Insurance

I bought car insurance last year from this organisation for my Father who will be 80 in October.

We never used the insurance and his car was put off the road as he has been diagnosed with lung cancer and is now very frail and only weeks/months to live. I phoned the company today to explain that I had forgotton to cancel , re their reminder letter, as we had no intention of taking out any insurance. Seemingly, I can't cancel without first getting a doctors letter to confirm that my Father is terminally ill. The renewal date was just yesterday, and anyone can see that this was an oversight due to the stresses of dealing with his illness. 

Surely insurance companies should change and make it the case that you have to call them if you want to renew. I wonder how much money they make out of this. They have no morals whatsoever.
