Review of Scottish Provident Critical Illness

Customer Review Comments:

I am disgusted with Scottish Provident. Having been sold a critical Illness policy in 2002 for a 'whole of life' and an inflated premium of £46.20, I am now offered a chance to continue with the policy for a premium of £130+ for 5 years.

So in effect, I was offered a 10 year term policy for £46+ at age 47 (for £75000) when even now at 57 I can purchase a 10 year policy for less than £27. What is going on? And why is 16 months premium for the policy going on charges and after 10 years there is no surrender value?

Good Points: None
Bad Points: As above, poor explanation of possible review and probable mis-selling
