Customer Review Comments:

I've been with Swiftcover for several years and now wish to change my vehicle. As this is an online proess I checked the FAQ to see the best way to do it and it says... "You can change your permanent car to the car you are buying and then add your old car as a temporary vehicle. You can change your permanent car and add a temporary vehicle by logging into Swift Space". That's fine, so I changed my permanent car to the new one and settled the difference in premium. You can't do the two things in one transaction so I then went to add my old car as a temporary vehicle and cover was refused.

I then contacted them and they simply said "we cannot provide cover for your old vehicle" without giving any reason. I'm therefore now stuck in a position of having insurance on a car that I don't want to start driving yet and no insurance on the car I did want to drive until sold. On top of that I did an online quote for the new vehicle and found the premium to be about £150 less than the old one (more than half the cover period still to run), but on making the change I got a refund of only £7 so there are hidden charges.

Good Points: Online convenience and price
Bad Points: Misleading website and expensive calls
