Review of Tesco Pet Insurance

Submitted by Peter

Pet Insurance

Customer Review Comments:
Today we received our renewal notice to insure our 4 pets (2 westies and 2 cats).

Last years premium was £25.58...no claims made ever....this year TESCO are asking for a whopping £57.57 which represents a staggering 125% increase.

Reasons given....Vets fees increasing plus the pets are getting older (the oldest is 6).

What really rattles is the fact they don't mention the word "increase" on the renewal letter, they just innocently say "your new monthly premium is detailed opposite".

Peter seems to have got it about right. What they don't know they make up as they go along. The trouble seemed to start when Tesco changed to using Royal Sun Alliance - who in other branches of insurance are pretty good. I've been with Tesco pet insurance for a good number of years (cats and dogs) and until the changeover they were as good as anyone else.
