Hastings Customer Services are absoluely useless - I have tried calling them 3 times in the past 24 hours and been left on hold without any answer for a total of 2 hours 20 minutes - these calls have all been made during the day, at off peak times - supposedly their least busy times.

I agree with previous comments. Customer service wait time is exceptional. They refuse to return a renewal notice.
They state Euro insurance is 60 days per trip and then later deny it saying it is 60 days per year. They refuse to reply by letter, only by phone which is then more easily deniable.

I have been with Hasting Direct for a few years and have had to claim through them once. All has been fine up until this year when they have failed to send through a renewal. I have tried to call customer service twice now, first time I was on hold for 15 minutes. Second time round I was on hold for 20 minutes and now I just canít get through! What is going on! Are they in financial trouble? Despite they are the cheapest I am moving!

I found them to be very useful and helpful, the guys I spoke to were going out of their way to help me and I found the experience of claiming very easy. I took out the policy and a few days later I had to make a claim, they settled it quickly and with minimal fuss - next year I wont be moving insurer.

Hastings direct are the worst large organisation I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Their customer service staff will tell you something different each and every time you contact them. Once you have a crash everything goes rapidly down hill at every step of your claim. I urge you to avoid them like the plague.

For anyone thinking of going with Hastings Direct, they refused to refund money they had taken,
their Customer Service is non existent.
Look elsewhere for insurance or you may well regret it, like we did. You have been warned...
