Marks and Spencer Home Insurance

M&S Home Insurance could be the perfect fit for your home. Just as you have come to rely on M&S to deliver quality throughout your home, you can trust them to protect it too with their straightforward M&S Home Insurance. You can also rely on them to deal with a claim quickly and fairly. M&S Bank have carefully selected AXA Insurance UK plc to underwrite this quality home insurance. Terms, conditions, exclusions and limitations apply.

Why Consider Marks and Spencer Home Insurance:
Extra discounts

If you’re a new customer, you’ll save 20% when you buy M&S Home Insurance online (excludes renewals, subject to minimum premiums). Plus you’ll get a no claims discount (which you can protect) if you’ve had home insurance for at least a year, as long as you haven’t made a claim in the previous policy year.
Green benefits at no extra cost

With M&S Home Insurance it's not just your home environment that's protected. When you make an approved claim for a washing machine, tumble drier, fridge freezer or dishwasher, they’ll replace it with a new 'A' rated energy efficient model (where possible). And if your home needs extensive repairs (or rebuilding) they’ll make sure the work is carried out to level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. (The code uses a 1–6 rating, 6 being the highest.)

Premier or standard?

Premier cover gives you more protection for your home and contents, including full accidental damage. Standard cover is cheaper with lower policy limits and accidental damage cover to only basic items such as window glass, TVs, video, audio and computer equipment, but you can choose to include full accidental damage cover.

Change your excess

Normal excess is £100 for buildings (the excess for subsidence, heave or landslip is £1,000) and £100 for contents. You can reduce your premium by increasing your excess. Or you can reduce (or remove) your excess – if you do this, your premium will be higher.

Alternative accommodation

As part of your cover, you’ll be given somewhere to stay if you have to evacuate your home because your health or safety is at risk – or if your home is uninhabitable after serious damage caused by a fire or flooding.

Pay by monthly installments – at no extra cost

You can spread the cost of your home insurance over 11 months. You'll pay by direct debit – and they won't charge you more to do this.

Flexible claims service

If you need claims advice, you can call their claims advice line anytime, day or night. If you have to make a claim, you can choose to take a cash settlement instead of replacing an item or having the item repaired. (The amount you receive will reflect any discounts they may have been given for a replacement or repair.)

Extra protection

If you add Home Emergency Cover to your policy, you'll have extra protection against household emergencies such as plumbing problems caused by leaking pipes or your boiler breaking down. You can also add Legal Expenses Cover worth up to £50,000.

M&S points

If you've got an M&S Card you'll receive 1,000 M&S points* when you take out a new M&S Home Insurance policy (excludes renewals).

**M&S Loyalty Scheme subject to terms and conditions. We reserve the right to withdraw the offer without notice. Your points will be converted to vouchers for your next or subsequent loyalty mailing. Applies to new policies only. Offer detailed cannot be used in conjunction with any other points offer and only one claim can be made per account. Offer not available to customers renewing or amending an existing policy. Offer is not open to customers buying from price comparison websites. Loyalty points are only available when the main cardholder is the policyholder.
