Review of AA Car Insurance

Customer Review Comments:

The first year deal with the AA can be good. However, my policy rose from £174.09 to £457.39 in year 2 (despite no changes in policy and one additional year NCB).

Although year one is good and it includes free breakdown/ recovery, I received, on average, 1 or 2 calls every 2 weeks asking me to sign up to various AA packages.

Was it worth it? sadly, no. They seemed relieved that I moved on to another insurer - it seems they only want your custom for year one if you're willing to take on additional insurances (subjective comment). The cancellation charge is excessive at £50.00.

Good Points: Year one good, if you can take the calls.
Bad Points: Incredibly inflated renewal costs

I totally agree with someones comment on the first year being good then they hike up the second year even if you havent claimed. Also the AA bombard you with daily calls and letters for AA breakdown (even if you have it already) home insurance and so on. If you don't want to renew for inflated prices they charge 56 to leave and took 20 days to send me my 8 years no claims certificate to send to my new insurance (they can't deal with my insurance direct like everyone else) so I had a charge off of my new insurance for sending no claims late!
