Customer Review Comments:
I took out travel insurance with Ageas for a recent holiday and after booking my luggage on to my return flight my bag failed to turn up at the baggage carousel on arrival back to the UK.
After filling in a claims form and sending it off to them I spent months chasing up my claim with no joy, I would like to add that Ageas never contacted me once and that it was myself that had to do all the chasing. Anyway after several months I was contacted by a loss adjuster who contacted me weekly over a four month period to ask me the same questions over and over again, they were basically hoping that a certain detail would change within my statements so they could refuse to pay out. I checked my luggage onto a flight and it failed to turn up at the other end..... it has either been lost or stolen!! What is it about this they didn't understand?
Thirteen months have now passed and they have given me three different reasons as to why they are refusing to pay me any compensation. I have now contacted the financial ombudsman about Ageas in the hope that they can bring Ageas to book. I have looked on the financial ombudsman site and they have a list of companies and the number of complaints against them........guess who is top of the list? I think you know the answer.
