Customer Review Comments:
We have been paying for a policy for 5 years. I nearly cancelled it on renewal this year but the telephone operator persuaded me that given it was a new for old policy as well as repair, it might well just pay for itself in the future. In fact I wish I had never taken out the policy. I have plainly spent the price of a new machine on the cover I have paid for over those years.

The machine stoppped working at the end of January. We have had 3 engineer visits and for a variety of reasons we still have no functioning machine. We are a family of 5. We have a lot of washing. We have used the launderette and also neighbours and family in the past weeks but now its just getting too embarrassing to ask.

In Germany buying insurance is a matter of course but I suspect their support service when a claim is made is rather more efficient. Waiting in for a 4-5 hour slot for an engineer over the last 3 weeks has driven me to exasperation. I have used up days off work and relied on an elderly parent. Our time has a value too.

I should have saved the money and simply been prepared to buy a new machine when it stopped working. Not very green but at least I would have had control of what is currently an out of control situation - and there are 7 loads of laundry piled in our car which we now have to get done. Thats not too green either.

Good Points: Accessible phone operators
Bad Points: No ability to progress outside normal working hours (so you have to make a further call - so why have good operator access?). No regard given to number of site visits. There should not be infinite scope to repair a machine unless engineers can attend asap
